1. Our Commitment
AmericaFirst4Us Inc., the developer of OuiAmi, is committed to providing a digital experience that is usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or assistive technology in use. Accessibility is not a feature we add at the end — it is part of how we design, build, and ship.
Our work is informed by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and our target conformance level is WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
2. Current Conformance Status
Partially conformant means that some parts of the website and application do not yet fully meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard. We are actively working toward full conformance.
What is in place today
- Semantic HTML structure (proper headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels) so screen readers can navigate the page.
- Keyboard navigation across primary user flows, with a visible focus indicator.
- A “skip to main content” link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen-reader users.
- Alternative text on logos, decorative graphics marked as such, and meaningful image descriptions where present.
- Color contrast on body text and primary controls meeting or exceeding WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
- Text that scales with the user’s browser settings; the layout is responsive and works on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem setting; animations are reduced or removed when the user has indicated that preference. - Form fields with explicit labels and associated error messages.
Known limitations
OuiAmi is in active development. The following limitations are known and are being addressed in our ongoing accessibility work:
- OuiAmi has not yet been independently audited by a third-party accessibility firm. We plan to commission such an audit prior to expanded distribution.
- Some interactive components built recently (the auth modal, the trust-score widget, and the network/feed components) have not yet been fully validated against the full WCAG 2.1 AA criteria; we are validating them now.
- Some user-generated content (peer reviews, listings, profile photos) is contributed by community members and may not always meet our internal accessibility standards. We are providing tooling and guidance to encourage accessible contributions.
- Live captions for any video content embedded by users have not yet been implemented.
3. Section 508 Alignment
Because AmericaFirst4Us Inc. is an active federal contractor (UEI R8ZJR4MP45J9, CAGE 19QA6) and is pursuing deployments within the Department of Defense and other federal-government environments, we are aligning our accessibility posture with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Revised 508 Standards (incorporating WCAG 2.0 Level AA, with WCAG 2.1 AA as our internal target).
A formal Section 508 Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for OuiAmi will be made available on request to federal contracting officers and authorized procurement personnel.
4. Assistive Technology Compatibility
OuiAmi is designed to be compatible with current versions of major operating systems, browsers, and assistive technologies, including:
- Apple VoiceOver on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS
- Google TalkBack on Android
- NVDA and JAWS on Windows
- System-level zoom, increased text size, high-contrast modes, and reduced-motion settings
- Bluetooth keyboards on iPad and other tablet devices
If you encounter a compatibility issue with a specific assistive technology or configuration, please let us know — we will treat it as a bug, not a feature request.
5. Accessibility Feedback & Contact
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of OuiAmi. If you encounter a barrier — even one not listed above — please tell us. We commit to acknowledging accessibility reports within two business days and providing a response or remediation plan within ten business days.
1104 Montpier Drive
Franklin, Tennessee 37069
When you contact us, please include the page or feature where the issue occurred, the assistive technology and browser/OS you were using, and a brief description of the barrier. The more specific you can be, the faster we can fix it.
6. Enforcement and Independent Review
If you have made an accessibility report through the channels above and are not satisfied with the response, you may also contact the appropriate federal or state authority that oversees disability rights in your jurisdiction. For users in the United States, the U.S. Access Board provides information on filing complaints under Section 508 at access-board.gov.
7. Statement Review and Updates
This accessibility statement is reviewed at least quarterly and is updated whenever we ship features that materially affect the accessibility of OuiAmi. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent review. Substantive changes are summarized below for transparency.
- April 28, 2026 — Initial publication of the OuiAmi Accessibility Statement.
